In Planning

Since 2014 Hudson Studio Architects has been working with the National Arts Club to develop a Master Plan to implement building-wide upgrades and bring the sumptuous historic interior of this National Landmark up to New York City code and zoning requirements.

The ornate Victorian rooms of 14-15 Gramercy Park South, designed in 1881 by Calvert Vaux, with stained glass and ornate woodwork virtually unchanged, are among the best remaining examples of Aesthetic Movement interiors in New York.  The 1908 George B. Post Studio Building skillfully links public rooms and studio residences, including several grand-scaled duplexes.

The first phase of our work was to survey this wonderful historic building complex and develop plans to upgrade the facility to meet code requirements. We continue to work with the National Arts Club team to maintain the special character of these spaces while bringing the facility up to modern standards.
